White Glove Service

Posted on: November 14th, 2011 by admin No Comments

As we prepare to finish the first quarter of 2011, we reflect on our past to gather lessons and appreciate achievements. Our history in this business has enabled me to work with countless clients and vendor partners, many of whom remain with Vintage Floors and Interiors today. They’ve helped us grow and become successful and I’m grateful for their loyalty and support. Unfortunately, our industry has also seen its share of changes over the past few years and we’ve seen many vendors, suppliers and retailers go out of business making us wonder what the future landscape of our industry will look like.

At Vintage Floors and Interiors, we remain committed to providing our clients with an exceptional experience. Our clients know we provide “white glove service”. This means our wood floor specialists provide special care and attention to every project detail from start to finish. Our team of wood flooring specialists has 100 years of combined experience in the industry. At Vintage, we don’t use subcontractors and we use the highest quality materials.

Because of our experience and expertise in wood flooring, we know every way required to do the right job the first time. We stand behind our products forever. We are here for any future needs our clients have including refinishing, adding rooms or moving to a new house. Our goal is to keep our customers for life.

We hope you enjoy our first edition of our newsletter. We will bring you information and updates about our company and the industry. Please feel free to email us your comments, suggestions or story ideas. We care about what you have to say, so please share any news or success stories of your own that we may include in our next newsletter.

Sincerely,

What Drives Me Crazy About Most Wood Floors

Posted on: November 14th, 2011 by admin No Comments

I was recently walking through a Whole Foods and I couldn’t concentrate on finding all the items on my shopping list. All I could do is obsess about the floor beneath my feet. This location had spent a lot of money to install high quality wood floors. But instead of looking beautiful and adding to the atmosphere they were trying to create, the floors were dull and lifeless. I couldn’t concentrate on anything else. All I could see was a beautiful floor dying to be free. I had the urge to bring my equipment to the store and sand off all the goop they had been using to clean the floor and strip it back down to it’s beautiful, natural hardwood finish. Plus give the staff a stern lecture on how to properly care for one of the most important pieces of real estate in the store. Unfortunately this is an all too common occurence for me. It happens everywhere. A local restaurant, a friends house, a hotel lobby, the supermarket, even a small fitness center recently. The issue is always the same – good money is spent on a beautiful wood floor and then it’s not taken care of. The good news is that in all of these cases, with the right tools, equipment and expertise, we (my company Vintage Floors) can restore it back to its beautiful, original finish. The bad news is that a lot of people don’t even realize that they have a gorgeous wood floor underneath the gunk, buildup, scratches, etc. they’ve accumulated over the years by not taking proper care of it. It drives me crazy. I guess it’s one of the hazards of being in this business and “knowing better”. So take a look at your wood floor and if it isn’t “warm”, “inviting”, and “beautiful”, then call me immediately so we can give it the TLC it desperately needs. You will make my day by allowing us to bring life back to another neglected wood floor. – Vintage Floors, 954-983-6944
